Chocolate Chip Cookie Milkshake

Created and submitted by Sera and Robin

Serves five people

Ingredients:

  • A batch of chocolate chip cookies (around 20 cookies)
  • 10-15 scoops of ice cream
  • 1 cup of milk (or ⅓ to ⅔ of the amount of ice cream put in recipe, just milk)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons of vanilla extract (or to taste)
  • Chocolate sauce/drizzle
  • Whipped cream!

Directions:

  1. To begin, put the ice cream, milk, vanilla extract, 5-10 cookies, and chocolate sauce/drizzle (you can also add food coloring if you want!) in a blender and blend until mixture is a milkshake consistency (not entirely frozen, but fairly liquid-y) and fully combined. (Consider slowly adding vanilla extract to taste.)
  2. Prepare milkshake cups by drizzling the inside with chocolate sauce and create a layer of chocolate on the tip. Take 5-10 cookies and crush them up. I like to do this by inserting them in a ziplock bag and shutting it tightly with as little air as possible. I then take a rolling pin and repeatedly roll over them until they are crushed into small chunks and dust. Then spread some crushed cookies (not all) on the layer of chocolate sauce you made on the tip of the cup.
  3. Next, pour the milkshake into the prepared cups and apply whipped cream on top. Then take the remainder of cookie crumbs and sprinkle them on top. If you have extra cookies then stick them on top for decoration!
  4. Enjoy!
